July 2007 Greengrass Antique & Modern Arms and Collectables Expo

The July 2007 Greengrass Antique & Modern Arms and Collectables Expo in Penrith was another success story for Kizlyar Australia. Despite the fact that this was a reasonably smaller show in comparison to the Shot Expo the Kizlyar still managed to draw a large crowd throughout the entire weekend. The main showstoppers were the Kizlyar’s military range including Phoenix, Korshun and DV-2. Kizlyar’s folding knives were also very popular with most show goers.

Zobair Bary, Kizlyar Australia Senior Sales Representative reflects:

“On a personal note the show was an extremely exciting even for me as it was the first time I had attended it as an official Kizlyar representative. The show provided me the opportunity to receive excellent face-to-face feedback from our clients.
The day was not short of ecstatic customers telling us about the quality and the ability of the knives in keeping the edge yet simple enough to sharpen using a simple stone.

On the other hand one fact came as a surprise to me, which I should clarify. It seems that some people are reluctant to buy our knives with etched blades due to a common belief that the etching colour will come off.
Frankly I can see how this belief has been embedded in people’s heads by looking at the quality of some of the products that are available in the market. The problem lies in the cheap knives that use acrylic paints and improper etching techniques in their products. This etching does not last the fist camping trip, not to mention a hunting trip.
The etching on the Kizlyar knives on the other hand, have been developed by the incorporation of hand etching, high-tech laser etching, finished of with special acid based etching paint that actually fuses with the steel. In other words, one would need to machine the blade to take off the etching from a Kizlyar blade.

In conclusion, all Kizlyar knives are as good as each other and you get what you pay for. Please keep an eye out for us at the 59th Melbourne Arms and Military Fair to be held on 8th of September at Westgate Sports and Leisure Centre in Melbourne.“
